I'd sooner see Microsoft buy several smaller promising studios such as Double Fine (Psychonauts, Brutal Legend). Although their games would be nowhere near as big as GTAIV they could probably find ways to make additional money and gain attention for the games by licensing out the IP for cartoons, etc (not Brutal Legend of course).
