I would say that (IMO) the X360 will see a similar value of units increase between now and the end of the year.

What I mean by that is that the X360 outsold last year by 1.6m units, and I think it will sell another 1.6m on top of the 5.3m, for a grand total of around 26.9m units.

It's certainly possible if MS drops the price in the US. That's the big question. The advantage the 360 had in the 2nd half of last year was the price drop, and Halo 3. The X360 has a hardware mover in Gears of War 2, but won't be as monumental. But the key to sales was the price cut, as it allowed the X360 to move around 80,000 units of HW per week in the US for nearly a month (then H3 hit). We've already seen that the temp. price drop shot X360 sales up to ~95,000 average for 2 weeks, with a lesser pricedrop (since the arcade and elite prices weren't dropped) has had a similar effect.

So I would say in between 26.5m-27.0m for EOY. My official prediction I made in Mid-December last year was 27.0m. If that comes true, I will be rather happy :)

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
