Number 3 is one of the biggest misconceptions ever.
"If this continues Nintendo will lose the Wii owners that actually took out Wii Sports from the optical drive."
So core gamers are buying Game Party, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, Wii Fit, and the countless other number of "casual" games dominating the top spots in the charts worldwide? Oh, that's rich. Considering those games are selling through the roof while games like No More Heroes and Zach and Wiki languish on store shelves, what does that tell you? Who abandoned who here? The fact is, these so-called "casual gamers" are more loyal than those so-called "hardcore gamers" who for the first time ever Nintendo fans are described as.
The fact is, these fans are all bark and no bite. They always have been. Thinking that their dissatisfaction will somehow harm Nintendo is ludicrous. It is pandering to fans that keep most companies back. It's obvious Nintendo is on the winning track here, and the fuzzy logic that Nintendo should "not abandon the fans" makes no sense. These same fans have been whining for years that Nintendo needs to change course to be successful, and when they do the fans are upset that Nintendo is abandoning them. Oh, that's right, the fans want them to be successful, but not TOO successful. Yes, that's the kind of logic you can work with *rolls eyes*.
