Head tracking was always feasible. Even if you wanted to mount the remote to your head for some reason (and I don't see why you would; Lee's IR glasses were a much more elegant solution), that could be done before as well, since head tracking relied on the IR sensor and not on accelerometers/gyroscopes. The MotionPlus peripheral doesn't change anything on this front.
