Yeah, they pointed out on Kotaku that PS3 and PSP software increased a lot, but was actually completely offset by the lack of PS2 software sold(If I read it right).
I didn't actually try to run the numbers myself, but from reading Shams post, it appears that is exactly what happened.
I think sony is in a planning phase right now, where they are trying to stack the market with Blu-Ray for an anticipated Blu-Ray boom in the next 4 years, where they are the market leader(of players).
