I know, right? They ran out? Lol.
Actually it's called planning. You know, as a means to ensure profitability for the fiscal year, the output is limited to a level that ensures expected PS2, PSP and software revenue exceeed the losses expected at a specific level of PS3 hardware sales.
It's a common strategy in consumer electronics.
Given the current transition from 40 GB SKU to 80 GB SKU, now is a perfect time frame to implement some of that strategy.
