Guys there is an issue with channel right now. 40GBs are pretty much gone out side online. 80GBs are getting stock, but still limited and you have to add in the fact only so many people will pay for the $500 version. The other issue is some people are willing to wait for the new 80GBs when they are released at the end of Aug/Sept. Many, many stores have not seen 40GB shipments since the end of June.
The real question right now is when will Sony get the new SKUs to the retail channel or this problem will continue to be an issue.
