LCD or Plasma ?

Well, we've learned some things here:

A. People disagree about which type of TV is best.
B. Brand and features are more important than LCD verses Plasma
C. Samsung, Sony, and Panasonic all make really nice high and low end HDTVs, but you'll have to pay a high price for them
D. All anecdotal evidence is different.


You picked a Samsung based on my, and others suggestions, as well as your own judgement. I also thought the Samsung TVs look the best(which is why I bought one). However, I chose the LCD model for my own various and personal obsessions, none of which had anything to do with saving the environment, and most of which had to do with not having to worry about my televisions screen, ever.

I think you made the right choice. You chose the set that you felt was right for you.

As long as you can say that, then you've done well.

I thoroughly research all my purchases. I definitely think that is the best route to go when choosing electronic devices. They aren't all classifiable as best or worst. They are different things for different people. Some like PSP, some like DS. Some like Panasonic, some like Toshiba. Some like Sony, some like Samsung, hell, some like Sanyo and Vizio, because like it or not, price is an issue with nearly everyone, and it matters.
