You don't understand why a simulation that more closely approximates (relatively speaking of course) the actual experience would seem more advanced?
The flawed argument is that there is a superiority to games which artificially increase your acuracy. If you prefer a standard controller, then it makes sense for you to use it, but don't pretend that there is a logic to wanting your game to make it easier for you. If that logic is true, then why stop at a standard controller? Why not go to a mouse and keyboard? Better yet why not use an aim bot, that's an even easier interface, with even greater accuracy? In fact why stop at a bot that just aims, you could design a bot to play the whole game for you? In fact why even bother with the game? You could put in a movie and win every time.
Use the interface that works for you, but don't pretend that there is some higher logic that makes yours right and all others wrong.
