It's epic, loads of good dungeons, more cinematic presentation, wolf transition is very cool, lots of sidequests.
My thoughts on why it is seen a bit negative: It does miss the lightheardedness of OoT and WW. For example th non-playable-characters had much more humor in those games. In TP everything was a bit dramatic. There wasn't a lot of room for quirky characterters and events (like the Mask trading in OoT or the stuff you could do on Windfall Island in WW). That's indeed a bit of a letdown, but TP surely is one hell of a game.

Like I said I think its because I never played a Zelda completly since OoT or a disc based game zelda till now. My expectations were amazingly high and it didnt deliver. I love it but if I hadnt set my hopes so high I dont think I wouldve felt the disappointment.
My negative thing with the wolf transformation is that I didnt feel like I had to use it too much. I wanted to be a Wolf for much longer than I actually had to.
I actually really like the dark feel to it. There was just enough humor for me.

lol, we play Zelda in different ways I guess. I think I crossed the whole world as wolf with "sense" on, just to find those damn bugs.
Also have you finished the Cave of Ordeals? It's amazing, around 50 halls all filled with enemies.
But I understand what you mean, but OoT is the best game ever, and revolutionary for its time. Nothing can ever compare to that first time you set foot in a 3D Hyrule field.

I never really bothered searching for the bugs. I just caught them whenever I saw them. I always used Epona when on hyrule field. or warped so i hardly used wolf link outside. I wish the game wouldve have made you use him more.
I completly forgot about that!! Im gonna check that out. *slapshimselfamilliontimesover*
Lol true abotu the OoT comment.
