Using PS3 for BR

The same reason why early PS2s died because of over using its DVD playback feature.  My question is valid.

 

 

 I dont understand. The games and movies are both on Blu-ray discs....why would one wear out the drive and not the other?

I suppose one could argue that, with a film, the drive motor is always spinning whereas that might not be the case with a game.
