I had the same feelings about the controls. I really wish they hadn't bothered porting it to Wii (but understand the reasons for doing so). I actually got to complete the GameCube version first because my Wii was broken when it arrived on launch day. Obviously I wasn't going to sit around and look at Twilight Princess. So I ran down to Game and bought the GC version. I can honestly say after completing both that the GameCube version has better controls. Simple things like the spin attack and shield bash just make more sense. It's too easy on Wii to spin attack everything out of the way, but on GC for example you had to charge then spin.

As for everything else… Well I loved TP. It is still my favorite Wii game. It didn't let me down in any area whatsoever. I played it non stop for days. The only thing I missed was the ocean from Wind Waker... but a blue cell shaded mass wouldn't have made any sense in the middle of Hyrule so I let it slide =) I have a hard time decided which is better WW or TP? I just like them both for different reasons but like them both equally, WW has the slight edge being my first Zelda. In comparison to other Zelda titles (OoT/MC/LTTP etc) I prefer both WW and TP.

I think a lot of it depends on which game you played first and how many you have played. So many people say the games are getting easier for example but in terms of puzzles I don’t think they are. The first time I played WW simple things like lighting a torch to open a door seemed strange. But then you learn the conventions of the game and suddenly they’re easier. I actually found OoT a lot easier than WW. Enemy battles were way too easy in TP though. It was a shame because the bosses were great but they could only deal half a hearts worth of damage.
