Owning something, and knowing about it are two different things.
Your TVs have other factors that may alter viewing results, such as how far away you are when you watch, their brand and quality, size and tier, age and state.
While I'd like to assume that most peoples anecdotes are as accurate a measure of things as generally accepted truths, I unfortunately find that they never are.
I don't deny or confirm your comments, I simply claim that, all things being equal in the medium-high tier range of newer model televisions, neither format, LCD or Plasma, perform "much better" than their counterpart, at any task, ever.
