Quick vote, do you prefer Oblivion's, which lets multiple characters, a quick start and acceptance that a 60 gig harddrive will take a long time to fill, or the Log on/off system, which doesn't save Harddrive space, takes up more for a profile, hopefully doesn't involve the game re-installing itself, and adds more loading time, however, a bit more security that no one can save over your game. Sounds a bit lazy to me.
Games should give an option to "continue without saving".
The Wii has "Guest" profiles built in, for when you want a quick game without creating a user. Quite useful. No data is saved for these, so you can use them over and over again.
