I was browsing through game sales and noticed that many of the mainstream titles like Madden, GTA, Fight Night, NBA Live/2k8, Call of Duty, ect are currently selling better on 360 than PS3. I was wondering how many PS3 will need to be sold to see game sales numbers even out or perhaps tilt towards PS3? I think this generation's sales numbers are really deceptive with the Wii doing its thing, PS3 acting as both Sony's Blu-Ray head and console, and 360 aimed directly at gamers. Most 360s sold are straight up for gaming because people already have DVD players and iTunes and what not for DLC, but PS3 owners are a lot more ambiguous.
I know a bunch of people that just want it for a Blu-Ray player, but I know there are plenty that bought one because they thought it would provide the "absolute" next gen/current gen/whatever gen experience. Anyways I'm just a little curious how you think each companies different strategies will play out and how third party devs will react as this generation continues. Personally I feel that PS3 sales will need to be about 3-4 million more than 360 worldwide before multi-plat game sales actually shift in favor of PS3, but maybe that's just me o_o I dunno.
