It was rumored to be struggling, by Famitsu. This confirmation that it is still alive, is pretty big for Wii fans that loved Odin Sphere, or any JRPG ever, for that matter.

Judging by the amount of Wii owners on this site that haven't played a Fatal Frame or Monster Hunter game yet, I'd say many haven't gone near Odin Sphere. It's a shame too. Excellent game. Good to know Oboro Muamasa Youtoden is still kicking.

Nintendo gets good stuff nowadays. A whole new audience for these games (I only played Project Zero of that list). And usually a very loyal audience. If these games really tag on with the Nintendo crowd they have a bright future.

Oh I'm sure. I just think there isn't a very large interescting audience with Wii owners and Odin Sphere fans right now, and I used Fatal Frame and Monster Hunter as examples because all three were largely PS2 releases and most Wii owners on this site haven't played any of them.

I do think Monster Hunter is being billed a bit too high, but that goes with any franchise that switches allegiance. Suddenly Sony fans will downplay the series and Nintendo fans will start hyping it. I would say the same for Fatal Frame, but it has the added benefit of being taken over by Suda, so I fully understand the anticipation.

Oboro will never grab anything outside of a niche fanbase, as GrimGrimoire and Odin Sphere couldn't. I could see Nintendo fans latching onto Fatal Frame and Monster Hunter the same way they did for Resident Evil in the Gamecube era.
