Yes, the past ones only did okay, but the last few were on the Xbox weren't they? And with Nintendo publishing it I would only assume it will get decent marketing.
I think it will sell 120k week one in Japan, and go on to sell maybe 250-300k lifetime there. If it does that I think it can go Platinum WW : ) 450k from NA and 300k or so from others.

Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
