To be honest I thought Microsoft's conferance was a bigger support to Nintendo then Nintendo's own conferance. All this talk about how Live's custom Avatars are going to change the way games are played, how casual games are the future and so fourth. It seemed Microsoft was solidifying Nintendo's position far better then Nintendo themselves.
I was pretty dissapointed in Nintendo's lack of Pikmin3 or the rumoured Donkey Kong and Kid Icarus! However I think Nintendo relieved me when iwata said Nintendo EAD (Kyoto + Tokyo) were working on hardcore games. My bet is EAD Tokyo is making Pikmin3 and I'm not to sure what EAD Kyoto is making (probubly the new Zelda).
Fact is E3 was great but not mind blowing. Thats just the way it is. We always expect E3 to blow our minds but to be honest Microsoft and Sony never really showed to much new content this year either. Nintendo showed us stuff we hadn't seen before and we are complaining.
Sure I would love to see the new Zelda, Pikmin , Donkey Kong games just as much as the next person but I'll settle for Animal Crossing. What I am concerned about is the void of no new First Party titles for this fall. Only Animal Crossing with WiiMusic and WiiSportsResort both coming next spring. Where's the 3-5 solid titles for this holiday season? Will I be playing my 360 this holiday season rather then my Wii (A first time). I have always bought Nintendo first party titles in the fall but this year won't if I don't see some new good games announced!
