The Nintendo Channel already has DS demos.
The storage problem would need fixing before Wii demos (although I can't say i'm bothered about demos... I just want more storage for more Wiiware games. Hell an extra 512MB would likely last me till the end of the generation. (although an extra 1-2GB would be best as some will buy more than me)
