Just a note:
It's not ioi's doing concerning the X360 sales. If you track hardware via Famitsu, or Media Create, both are showing strong gains on X360 sales in the past few weeks.
Since Gumdan: Operation Troy came out, sales have been above 3,500 on any given week (3 weeks via MC, 4 weeks via Famitsu/VGC).
I know I've said this 50 times but, the reasons (and there's not just one):
1) Anticipation for the exclusive Tales of Vesperia to Xbox 360
2) Announcement of Star Ocean 4 exclusive to Xbox 360
3) Infinite Undiscovery in early September. Exclusive to Xbox 360
4) The Last Remnant, Time Exclusive to Xbox 360
5) Gundam: Operation Troy (first exclusive Gundam game to the X360. Or atleast the first that wasn't ported later, ala Gundam Mousou).
Ultimately, there's some actual momentum for the X360, as there are actually GAMES COMING TO THE X360. That the Japanese gamers care about. Because of this, the atrocious sales have become slightly less atrocious.
I need to mod my sig to say that I predict that ToV will make X360 HW jump to atleast 10k for the week it debuts. At any rate, the X360 has seen sales increases, and it's an actual trend vs. a momentary bump like most other bumps it's had. Only Blue Dragon ever gave the X360 a real jump that lasted any period of time.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
