The Origin Of WiiFit

WiiFit has taken the video game marketplace by sweat storm, but one often wonders where exactly the original concept for it was born. Though its been mentioned that Miyamoto’s penchant for healthy exercise was the spark, we had a hunch that it went deeper than that. Through research and a little perspiration of our own, we managed to dig up a rather monumental artifact from the filing cabinet of the big N. Seen above is the only known photo of the brainstorming sessions that lead to WiiFit’s triumphant unveiling. Allegedly, Arnold Schwarzenegger urged Shiggy to make the magic happen, but where did their history begin?

 

Seen above is the only known photo of Shigeru Miyamoto playing an extra in the original Predator. Speaking Japanese, the movie’s producers originally thought Shiggy was reading for the part of the predator. His physical prowess landed him the prestigious roll of “Limb-loss Solider #4.”

Here Shiggy is about to approach an unsuspecting Sara Connor to try to score. Nervous young women in the big city, easy lay, right Shiggy? Miyamoto did a “Terminating” of his own back then (we’re talking about vaginas!)

Next was Miyamoto’s walk on/walk out role in the seminal buddy comedy “Twins” where he was originally scripted to take Danny Devito’s character out for bypass surgery and stage an intervention about Danny’s wife Rhea Perlman who we were unable to identify in this picture.

Shiggy jingled all the way to the set of this cinema travesty classic where he learned the benefits of artificial product shortages created by a company to help increase demand, effective especially during holiday seasons (hi Wii!)

 

 

Back when the audience demanded physiochemical vixen villains and lifeless characters played by lifeless actors, Shiggy was there to set up the craft service table and sneak into wardrobe when the set was closed due to apathy. It’s a fluke that he slipped into this official promotional photo shoot but it’s not like anyone on the set of “Batman And Robin” was paying attention to anything.

So did Ahnold and Shiggy’s tumultous relationship really spark the original idea behind Wii Fit? We’re not saying yes, but yeah, we’re implying it heavily and possibly even getting it tattooed somewhere. So what’d Mr. Miyamoto do for Arnie in return? Oh I dunno, maybe a little thing like rigging the California state elections and getting the Governator his cushy new gig?

But that, my friends, is a whole new story for a whole new day.
