I agree with MrStickBall. This is really, really easy to highlight. Here is a comparison of the PS2 and PS3 at this point in there lives in Japan:
The PS3 has quite literally sold less than 1/3 as much as its predecessor had at this time.
Now the 360 and original Xbox:
The 360 is now ahead of its predecessor in Japan, and most notably, it's gaining speed (although we're still talking very small numbers) while its predessor was losing speed (the original Xbox started off strong then trailed off).
So Sony has seen its sales figures decrease by 200 percent, while Microsoft has thus far seen an increase of approximately 5 percent (and growing). That's what Moore is talking about. Of course, you're absolutely right that neither system is doing very well in comparison to the Wii.
