Wii games have a faster turn around time, since dev's already have experience with developing games for the gamecube. Once they get used the wiimote figured out, its a piece of cake.
In turn a Wii game does not have to sell 1 million to churn a profit, apparently 300,000 copies sold are enough to churn a profit.
And considering Wii games still cost only 50$, it speaks volumes.
