I've said it before, and I know I'll be forced to say it again (and again [and again]) but aggregated review scores (like the ones on Metacritic and Gamerankings) are useful when you're comparing two games in the same genre on the same platform, but if you're comparing two games in different genres or different platforms the scores become (more or less) meaningless.
