The 360 is selling to the exact same people in the exact same pattern across the world as the first Xbox.
Xbox worldwide sales rate = 24 million/44 months = 0.55 million a month average
Xbox 360 worldwide sales rate = 19.5 million/33 months = 0.59 million a month average
Just like the Xbox, the 360 is:
Dead in Japan
Pretty much dead in Europe outside of the UK
The rest of its sales coming from US and the UK
Nothing happened other than the same people who bought the first Xbox are buying the Xbox 360 and the same people who didn't care about the first Xbox are not caring about the 360.
