| superchunk said: Ok, So I put in another couple of hours today. First off, I completely forgot that unlike the 1st metroid the energy tanks of this game are a full two rows! I only had half when I said I had them all above. Well, I've gotten 3 more tanks (5 left) and 2 more reserves (1 left). A bunch of missiles and bombs etc. I have also gotten the spring ball and walked through about 2/3rds of Miridia and all I have left in Norfair is to beat Ridley. I need something to walk in lava, I think. idk, I'll figure it out after I finish of the boss and last couple of items in Miridia. Should have no problem finishing it tomorrow night. Still a fantastic game, however, I think I figured out where all the backtracking originated. Damn sure is a lot more here that there was in the original. I never played Metroid II on the GB, was it the same or more like the original Metroid? |
The game boy metroid from what I read felt a little cramped on the tiny screen of the original giant grey brick that was the game boy. I can see now why Strongbad used his gameboy in his time portal/warp machine.
The game got good reviews, but if you played it today, I don't think it would of aged well.
