I'm happy to see your future-sight still works and you can tell how a game will turn out before it's actually available.

Especially since said game actually has some pretty positive press going for it these days. But you do have a point, Conduit is not out yet either - we don't know if it's great or bad just yet.

It's far more interesting for me to see that some Wii supporters manage to both praise Conduit (and downplay it's generic-shooter-ness) and criticise every single other shooter (because they're so generic) at the same time.

Killzone 2 was not an accidental choice, nor was it choosen at random, the fact is that every excuse that people use to claim that The Conduit will be bad is just as true of Killzone 2 ...

You have a developer who is not know for developing particularly good games who is developing a game that is far larger in scope to anything they have produced before and is being hyped mainly because of how it looks; the game seems fairly generic, and if it wasn't exclusive for the platform in question would (potentially) go unnoticed by the majoirty of fanboys.

Does this mean that either game will be bad? No, both developers are motivated to bring the best product they can because of the large financial investment in these products; and both developers are highly motivated to build a reputation for themself as something other than a mediocre developer. Even if both games are amazingly generic, as long as they're well executed and enjoyable few people will hold it against them.
