I guess it just seems crappy because they're all horribly bunched into one little crowd. It would have looked better if you could see more zombies wandering in the background, but it's basically just these guys right in front of you.

And they just look...awful. Horribly gray, no lighting...I sure hope it gets improved in that department at least. I have definitely seen better from Gamecube and PS2.  I don't normally pull out that insult, but I know the Wii can do a ton better than this...and I don't get why so many people here are defending this.  You can tell me it's going to improve, but don't tell me that looks good.  It looks TERRIBLE.

The horrible bunching is also an element of the early game. I have a hard time band wagoning on hating the port right now because I have seen Dead Rising in action. The early parts of the game are very lack luster in the way of zombie slaughter. You see mostly a bunch of open space and run out of zombies to kill regularly.

I honestly can't comment on the look though. I swear I thought the pictures Akuma put up were part of the 360 version. For whatever reasons I cannot really tell the difference between a games graphics and so I have given up even factoring them into the equation. I trust you when you say it looks like crap, but that might be a side effect of trying to make sure they could have the bazillion zombies on screen later on with less slow down than the 360 version had.
