Right now, Mass Effect is the only true Next-Gen RPG on the market. By far, the best of any. Atleast, thats IMO. If you want to talk JRPGs, I'd wait: We do have ToV and IU to go before November. Either game could usurp Lost Odyssey from it's perch as best JRPG.

Lost Odyssey is a must-buy for me and Infinite Undiscovery sounds really promising, as well.
The thing is I wasn´t following 360 reviews closely until the end of last year so I have to go back and check some reviews of older games. (I´ll definitely buy Oblivion, Lost Odyssey and Infinite Undiscovery, though).
Now let´s hope Final Fantasy XIII turns out to be one of the best games ever created and we´re the happiest RPG gamers on the planet.
I love it how Microsoft changed the 360´s image - it has gone from the ultimate shooter console to the ultimate RPG console. Just awesome. Oh and Viva Pinata just rocks if you ask me. :p
@Eagles: I definitely am. I´ll buy most of those games anyways but I always start with a huge game on each console (for example I bought Mario 64 together with my N64, Super Mario Bros. was the first NES game I played, Final Fantasy X my first PS2 game (though I didn´t like it as much as the PSX games) and Twilight Princess was my first Wii purchase). Now I want a 360 game that is just as impressing. The problem is there might be some interesting Wii and DS games later this year (Final Fantasy IV on DS and Animal Crossing on Wii are must-buys for me), as well and I´m not that much of a core gamer to be honest - I don´t play that much anymore so in the end I could miss out on some true milestones which would be sad. I like to enjoy every second of my games. It enhances the experience.
