Oh of course. Red Steel showed off nice graphics to start off with, promised 1:1 sword control, a deep online setup, and awesome gun controls. It ended up with bad character models, not even close 1:1 sword control, no online and a terrible multiplayer setup, and of coruse on and off gun controls.
The Conduit already has a better chance considering most say the gun controls are similar if not better than that of MOHH2, graphics are shaping up nicely, and has an online setup with voice chat. So it's really not about living up the hype for The Conduit, its about getting the sheer advertising and hype behind it like Red Steel had. Remember Red Steel sold a million copies purely off hype.
