I wouldn't mind paying for maps, obviously not an obscene amount if it's on a per map (as opposed to map pack) basis. But, it could be good to bundle them (by rating, themes etc). |
I think people would much rather spend 0.5$ on a map, than say half an hour creating it themselves

Since the time it takes to make a map is still up in the air as well, I'd say it is still open.
I wont pay 5$ for something that takes 10 minutes to make, but I would pay 1$ for something that took 1 hour to make

Thats why I think this aproach can make more damage than good... quality is this kind of thing is very subjective and reproduction can be achieved by other user...

You can still choose to make your map 'open' so others can edit in it (which of course wont be the case every time), but aside from that you have a point.
I still think that this 'reward' will make a lot of creative users dish out some great content, and I think it will benefit the community in the end, because it will mean that there is more motivation for players to dish out more maps.
