| Shameless said: Frankly it looks like a jaggy, blurry mess. The whole fun of the first game was mowing down hundreds of enemies using strange weapons; this only seems to be able to handle tens of enemies. Look at the background of the above picture, the place is empty. I'm fine with Capcom riding the cashcow wave after the success of Resident Evil 4, but I hope they are still making Dead Rising 2 for an HD console(s) because I sure as hell won't be buying this. |
It is interesting how there have been people rising out of the woodwork on this port to say how bad it is ... even though it has been public less than a week and all that are available are some development screen shots which no one knows (or those who know are not saying) if they are early builds or final products.
One thing that cannot be underestimates is that this port marks a sea change. It is the first HD console game port to the Wii. The previous ports have been from the previous generation of consoles -- PS2 or GC.
Also, I wonder how many of the people complaining about this either (a) own a Wii or (b) already have this game on a HD console and won't buy the port anyway or
don't like the game to begin with.
If anyone things a screen shot of an SD game is going to look as good as a screen shot of an HD game, they are dilusional.
If anyone things that an SD game cannot play just as well as an HD game, they are in denial.
