I'm sorry I didn't catch any of that as insightful as it probably is.
I have two things against this E3 - one is that Nintendo never let it's public know in advance that their purpose at E3 had been redesigned.
Also that after the fact they didn't let the public know just when we can expect an announcement on all of their games coming out in Q3 and Q4.
For now it can only be assumed they have AC, and two Wii games.. I was actually looking forward to Star Fox Adventures 2... =(
... I'll just sit here and wait patiently.
Oh and actually it's much more of an offensive move than defensive - it's just that "The best offensive is a strong defensive." Every time Nintendo slashes away the old values Microsoft and Sony feel it - Microsoft wants to adopt the new values which is their defensive, metaphorically you could say they hope to mitigate the damages with the Wii like direction of their console. The only problem is they are going for it at a western business perspective and that's where they will differ greatly, one will fail because it will push away it's estabilshed values and the other will succeed because it is the established values.
