An example of a company marketing to non-gamers would be found almost 8 years ago when one company advertised their hardware as "A cheap DvD player."

and not more than two months ago this company did it again buy saying: "The cheapest blu-ray player on the market." Now that is marketing to non-gamers, does it work >.> 120 million sold (117) says maybe. All things being considered prehaps 40 million of the people who bought PS2's bought it for games some would agrue, then those few who would argue that would show Xbox360 sales on games like Halo or GTAIV and draw comparisons to and ratios to GTAIII and Socom or whatever the highest selling shooter is all of course in ltd.

Anyway the one thing that I can agree with you on is that sales speak loudest, oh and that the threads title should probably have been what you suggested. ^_^
