This game would be generic by any game on the PS360s standards. Character models are very nice, but texture is uninspiring, as is the overall design of the game. The same argument can be made for a number of shooters on the PS360 as well.  Many people say Resistance was popular only because it was a launch title with no other competition.

Gears of War 2 was no competition?

Weird. 

Could have sworn that game came out November 2006.  Resistance had the problem with being on a failry unpopular system at that time, it's a hell of a game.  It hasn't aged well though.
