It's a fight against spin. For real numbers. As someone with a lot of statistical training nothing bugs me more then misrepresentation and spin.

Blu-ray is doing much worse then DVD was... and in general is a bit  iffy.  Yet the Blu-ray consortium puts out missrepresented data saying it's ahead of where DVD is.

If you have no problem with being lied too... that's pretty pathetic if true.
