If cost were a consideration, I could just ten tons of diodes and capacitors for 1,000 dollars, when they're technically worth 1,500 dollars.

Unless you could literally take those diodes and capacitors and resell them, why would you buy my random bundle of diodes and capacitors? Hmm? It's such a great deal!

 

Honestly, I think the "cost of production is lower than actual retail price" concept is the male equivalent of a sale. When women see 100 dollar dresses on sale for 80 dollars, they seem to think they're saving 20 dollars, when in reality they're still spending 80.
