I'm with RolStoppable on this one ...
Value and cost are two entirely seperate concepts, and just because the hardware that makes up a system is more expensive doesn't mean that that hardware is more valueable to the consumer; if you simply consider that the majority of households still do not have a single HDTV, and even those that have HDTVs may not use a console on their HDTV, the added processing power and movie formats that take advantage of HDTVs are meaningless to these people.
The sales really tell you which system is the best value for the money ...
