say what you want final-fan

i have a personal grudge against sony yes.......... im sick of them been praised for things that they did not actually accomplish themselves....... some fools still to this very day beleive that tekken and time crisis started the 5th gen revolution of 3D gaming..... WRONG... tekken and time crisis are both blatant RIP OFFS of Virtua fighter and virtua cop (both made by SEGA), the most alarming thing is that people think that tekken and time crisis are SONY games ha ha ha, moment of truth folks.... they are BOTH namco games...... it was the money in their VERY DEEP pockets that got SONY to where they are today ( Not their actual talent, because thats somthing they lack)...... did you know that SONY were not even interested in videogames in the beginning? history lesson..... back in 1992 SEGA were working on the first fully blown CD based console (i know the Mega CD was CD based but it was an add on) anyway, SEGA were working alonside NEC to create the SATURN.... Nintendo caught wind of this development and decided that they too wanted to make their next console CD based.... (they didn't want to fall behind the competition).. anyway, nintendo hired ken kutugari to help them with a sound chip and to make their CD based console a reality...... right.... anyway, nintendo and ken kutugari fell out due to naming rights for nintendos new proposed console and thus ken was dropped from the project..... from there ken "theif" kutugari ran to SONY like a scalded dog with the HARDWARE and SOFTWARE knowledge that he had stolen from nintendo during his time there and thus the playstation was born....... SONY LOOKED DOWN UPON VIDEOGAMING until ken kutugari came along with his stolen proposals......... theres articales all over the net stating that sony didn't even like vidoegames back in the day........... and look at ken now, his blatant ripping off of nintendo landed him the job of sonys president for many years.... do you know what inspired ken to want to get in to gaming? he saw his daughter playing MARIO and somthing inside him just triggered and from that day he wanted to get in to gaming......... its just a shame that SONY had to come in to this business under such SEEDY circumstances....... so if anyone questions why i have NO RESPECT for sony i will forever point out this post just to put the record straight once and for all........ and for those who are either too young or just simply do not know....... i STORNGLY advise you to google search and type in these 2 words........ PLAYSTATION PROTOTYPE....... read the 1st article at the top of the page and then come back and tell me that my hatred of SONY is not justified........... screw you playstation.... or should i call you by your real name...... Famicom-Playstation.............

Let me start by saying that I consider the above post to be literary diarrhea.  Seriously, would it kill you to make a new paragraph once in a while?  I know it's killing me to watch you abuse periods and ellipses like that.  Secondly, please use more capitalization.  And no I don't mean more CAPS LOCK.  I mean capitalizing "I", the start of sentences, proper nouns (names), etc.  Thank you.

Now, on to the meat of the subject matter:  that's quite an interesting story you have to tell, and it's not the same one I'm familiar with.  The way I heard it, yes Nintendo was interested in CD gaming but as an add on to the SNES, so much more like the Sega CD than the Saturn.  And it was Sony who it partnered with, not just Ken Kutaragi the individual -- Sony had made the very good sound chip in the SNES.

Anyway, the deal fell through, from what I can recall, not due to "naming rights" but due to the fact that Sony had managed to get the contract to give it rights or ownership or royalties or something on all the games on the CD add-on system.  Nintendo didn't want to do that so it torched the deal instead -- and let Sony know by publicly announcing its new deal with Philips!  (Also fell through, also resulted in a competing system; but the Philips CD-i was not a threat, unless you count the horrifyingly bad Nintendo-IP games that Philips somehow gained the rights to when Nintendo pulled out.)  So Sony decided that, instead of scrapping the work it had done, it would push ahead and make its own console.  Thus the Sony PlayStation.

Yeah, Sony copies a lot of stuff.  The original controller was almost a SNES controller with 4 shoulder buttons instead of two; when the N64 had an analog stick and rumble Sony copied that too.  But that doesn't mean they did it underhandedly.

My advice to fanboys: Brag about stuff that's true, not about stuff that's false. Predict stuff that's likely, not stuff that's unlikely. You will be happier, and we will be happier.
