At TGS, do you expect Nintendo to focus on core games, unlike E3?

They announced pikmim because they were cornered and finally caved. They didn't even have anything to show whatsoever or anything to say about it other than "we are working on it." I wouldn't count on it being out before Fall 09.

If that was the case they would have said we are working on games. Also wouldn't it be smart to announce the game you are closest to release?  I seriously doubt they would announce anything if it wasn't coming close.

 

Miyamoto was asked in an interview about Pikmin and that's when he spilled the beans. Would he have done so without being asked? I doubt it. They also announced new games from Team Mario and Team Zelda. Does that mean we're months away fom them too? I think Miyamoto was asked or wanted to clean up the wreckage of the Nintendo conference with a little damage control. I wouldn't expect Pikmin this holiday.
