| rocketpig said: OT about Nintendo ignoring core gamers: Remember that this is the penalty you pay for enjoying Zelda, Smash, Mario, and Metroid games in the first 18 months of a console's life... Usually, those games are spread throughout an entire generation. We got them all in a very short period of time. A large gap until the following titles release is to be expected. It still sucks that we didn't see anything about Kid Icarus, though. I really really REALLY want a Kid Icarus game. |
Indeed. Galaxy, Prime 3, Twilight Princess, Brawl, Kart, Emblem... it's been a heckuva time to be a Nintendo gamer. And now that those have been released and time has gone... we're faced with an interesting prediciment. The only "big" 1st party release this year is Animal Crossing, and other than that, we have Wario Land and Mario Super Sluggers. That's it this year (that has been annoucned).
Still, there are a lot of games that I want, most of them 3rd party (le gasp!), the others are titles that I didn't have the chance to pick up when they came out some time ago. So the games are there, no doubt about it.
We'll see what the future holds.
