i mentioned in another post why sony is doing this.
Sony will be making money off of this deal since they own about a tenth of S-E.
Sony wil be saving money on console sales since they lose a ton on every one.
Not to say that they shouldn't be selling consoles, but that at the moment things are not very lucrative.
I'm sure that after this game comes out they will be either making slight profit on a 400$ ps3 or losing 50-100 on a discounted ps3.
It seems to be more of a business deal, and frankly i'm sure that ff14 will be sony only. Sony is just cutting corners right now and you should be there helping them out buying quality games that have recently come out like MGS4, FiFA Euro, and coming soon Soul Calibur. Good games are out there, you play them, and you'll get better games, and more exclusives.
