Agreed, I just saw they were RTS. I will definitely pick them up.

 

 I don't know if I would say that the Pikmin games are a pure RTS, but they cetainly have some RTS elements to them.  Regardless, they are both great games, and both have very unique aspects to them.

Buy them both, and play them in order.  Be warned Pikmin 2 goes for quite a bit on e-bay right now.
