I think Nintendo gave their "State of Nintendo" speech.
Unless you have something shocking -- like getting FF XIII -- you aren't going to make a big splash at E3 this year. Too many pull outs. The event is falling apart.
Also, I agree that Nintendo wanted to give its "third party partners" the chance to shine. Heck, of the six Wii games shows, two were from Ubisoft which has been subjected to extreme scorn (basically "ripped a new one") on these boards. There were only two Nintendo games -- Wii Music and Wii Resort Sports), a Lucas Arts Game (SW: CWs) and an Activision game (CoD5).
Finally, I think Nintendo might do something on its own. I don't belive it is going to GDC in Lipzig. And TGS in not until October.

I am Mario.I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble. Wii Friend Code: 1624 6601 1126 1492 NNID: Mike_INTV |
