Does this thing have video input? like HDMI in or VGA... If so, it can be used a portable screen for my xbox. And my answer is yes! lots of gaming potential.

If not...hell no!

i love gaming on my iphone so yes. ipad for Gaming FTW

EA is involved as im watching the event live now. a few games have been shown

If it and the inevitable clones take off it will be eating into the laptop market, and there's plenty of gaming in that market. So I'd say yes, but I don't see it taking off big and quick.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

the ipod touch has become HUUUUGE FOR GAMING

these girls know who would never touch PSP/DS/Xbox/PS3/Wii & so on are addicted to ipod touch games & pay for new ones.

This may be similar

Yes, especially if it has a pull out stand like a picture frame or something and you can connect a Dualshock controller via bluetooth, there are some good games on the app store that would be great with a real controller. I'm just worried about the tiny memory (64 gigs max) and no optical drive. It's not like a phone, you'd just have to have a small bag that can hold your iPad and a dualshock and game anywhere!

I'm going for "yes, but limited".
The fact is, the kind of games that appeal to me are traditional games. If they can get support and do it well, then sure, but this just sounds like more novelty to me.
