I don't think so. My reasons:
-The first game won't be released on the PS3 (it's published by Microsoft).

-The first 2 games are connected. Also, if you play the first game and you use the same data for the second game, you will be able to see your choices from the first game making effect on the second game and this is one of the biggest focus in Mass Effect (choices).

-Mass Effect is an old game, most of the people who really wanted to play this game already bought the first one for the x360 or PC.

-This is a trilogy and if they can't release the first game on the PS3, they probably won't release the other 2 games on the PS3 because the PS3 wouldn't have all the story. How can you have a trilogy with 2 games?

I think EA owns the publishing rights to the first game, now.  Pretty sure MS is out of the picture.  EA published the Windows MAss Effect 1, so if MS still owns any rights, its for the 360 only.

No, EA has nothing to do with the first game (talking about consoles).

Sure they published the PC version but if Microsoft published the first game on the x360, Microsoft must have some kind of agreement concerning the first game. They won't publish a game for nothing. Why do you think that the first game isn't on the PS3?

Even if EA published the PC version, Microsoft helped with the x360 version and here is where the exclusivity is.

What about Ninja Gaiden 2? Published by MS..

Now that they are starting to develop Mass Effect 3 (they will have less time for a port) and reinforcing the idea that it's a trilogy, a PS3 version sounds impossible.

@Ping_ii and Akuseru

Tecmo is the original publisher and developer for the Ninja Gaiden series, they could make whatever they wanted but Microsoft was the first publisher for the Mass Effect series, so we can't compare.

If Microsoft published the first game in the Mass Effect series they can have the exclusivity for the entire trilogy (if it was planned since the beggining and Microsoft asked for the exclusivity when they published the game). But hey, everything here is just a guess, good luck for you.

Also, Bioshock is a third party game and Microsoft has nothing to do with this game.

I dont get the difference.......

I love the 360, I'm buying it for the 360 (would've had it already if my sister hadn't failed me. Never send a woman to do a man's job.) and I DON'T want the game to come to the PS3......but it's coming. There is no Hideo Kojima type (and even HE came around) trying to keep this game exclusive. BioWare already develops for the PS3. EA is in dire need of a hit game. NOBODY (third party) is loyal to Microsoft. Saints Row, BioShock, Dead Rising, Ninja Gaiden, Condemned, etc. The "big guns" in the third party realm ALWAYS jump ship. It doesn't matter if it's the first game or the 21st game in a series (Final Fantasy, Devil May Cry, Metal Gear, Tekken), third parties are mercenaries (which reminds me: Mercenaries). They follow the money. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY is a bigger whore than EA. So (for lack of a better analogy) 360 owners can enjoy screwing around with Mass Effect now, but don't get your feelings hurt when you see her with the PS3. You knew you were dealing with a hoe!

Doubtful. But it would be great. If it's half as much fun on 360 as PC I'm sure it would make a great PS3 game as well- just with more primitive graphics (than PC).

XBL: WiiVault Wii: PM me  PSN: WiiVault

PC: AMD Athlon II Quadcore 635 (OC to 4.0ghz) , ATI Radeon 5770 1GB (x2)

MacBook Pro C2D 2.8ghz, 9600m GT 512 iMac: C2D 2.0, X2600XT 256

I reckon it'll eventually come to the PS3, but most likely next year since Microsoft would have definitely paid the money to keep it a times exclusive.

So, if I'm right, then I think what they'll do is simply release Mass effect 1 and 2 with all the downloadable content on 1 disc at full price, it'll be worth it that for sure, I know it would be late, but at the end of the day a good game will remain good despite when it's released...unless the port is broken to the shit house, then it's another story.

I voted yes simply because they won't flat out deny it.

This depends entirely on what sort of contracts BioWare and Microsoft had in place. EA will have to honor those contracts. If there weren't any contracts - or if those contracts were only for timed exclusivity, and have since expired - there will almost certainly be PS3 ports in the future.

(My bet is Microsoft has exclusive contracts for the entire trilogy, but I have no evidence to support that.)

Some people here talk as if they know what kind of contract BioWare and Microsoft have in regards to EA. Unless it's been announced and revealed, then please, give me a link and I'll be more than happy to accept the fact that MS has a full exclusive contract with BioWare with regards to the Mass Effect Trilogy. Until then, I ain't believing some people here...
