Forums - Gaming Discussion - Final Fantasy.... By a Western Developer

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1U_0EoWkIE&feature=player_embedded

So that's supposedly a tech demo from GRIN, the now defunct Scandanavian developers who last year put out Bionic Commando, Wanted and Terminator Salvation. The video claims it's a Final Fantasy XII-2 and it looks pretty.... odd.

While the game obviously now ceases to be, looking back at comments that SE are maybe looking to give the Final Fantasy team something 'new' to do - could we see the next true final fantasy develoepd outside of Japan? Will we see an iteration of the FFXIII Nebula Crystal chornicles (I'll never remember the proper title for this) developed in the west? :/

Apologies if this is a double post, I did search, and look through the first 3 pages of the 'hot topics' forum >_>.

The Youtube's video description claims that Fortress - this FFXII sequel - is still in developement at an unknown studio. It claims EIDOS Montreal is a 'safe bet' for that though :/.

And it looks like a... WRPG!

No surprise.

yep looks like average empty WRPG.

If Zelda Wii has this graphics I'm happy!

I don't see where's the greatness in this graphics comparing to HD games...

It looks almost the same as FFXII...

I'd won#t mind AT ALL if an iteration of the Fabula Nova Crystallis XIII was developed in the west

but NOT a main FF game, never!

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

I will wait for more info on this, but yes it does definitely look like an WRPG, which I don't mind at all

it's the future of handheld
