Forums - Nintendo Discussion - IGN Editorial: Blinded by MARIO

The Wiiware comment is just trolling. It's really sad just how far IGN has fallen.

somwhere along the line, this guy forgot what gaming is all about

fun

if you can have playing a game then it's done its job

That's fine when you're talking about whether or not to buy a game, but both NSMBWii and Splosion Man were fun, so obviously you have to base GotY off more than "which game is fun"

I do disagree with him on his points other than originality.  From what I've heard Splosion Man's online coop is a nightmare of lag, and comparing 100 levels to 77 does not take into account the length of the levels whatsoever.

you my good sir, just win

Wow even more reason to IGNore them.

Well Nintendo must have done something right beacuse a game doesn't sell 10 million copies if it's just a "lazy" developed game....

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

that has nothing to do with it...games that are easily made can still sell, like MW2, we all know blizzard didnt spend too mch money or time on the game....yet it sells like hotcakes....imo it is a  developed game where the developers decided to play it safe

I don't like watching people have breakdowns, so this is actually kind of hard to read.

Somebody having such a negative reaction to a game selling well - to people having fun with it, and their friends buying it as a result - is distressing in and of itself. I winced, reading this.

And the whole "NSMBWii plays just like the DS game" memetic needs to die
