The problem is that if you don't want the art book and the CD, you can get those same games for the VC and pay less. It's just for collectionists, that's why it's a limited edition. Probably 200-250k shipped.

OCD said they will ship about 25,000 which isn't a lot but still those 200-250K shipped will soon be sold. Mario all-stars aren't on VC are they?

All the Super Mario games are on the VC, but individually, not in a single package. The shipment could be lower though, maybe I'm a bit too optimistic about it. 100k doesn't seem too far fetched.

@Nyanks: WW I doubt it, but in Japan I think PS3 will end up winning more weeks than the Wii.

They'll keep shipping throughout the year though, and honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if it actually outsold GT5 for the year.  Mario's as big as ever in Japan, and this is a limited time release, commemorating his 25th Anniversary... remember how the Famciom Mini version of SMB1 sold?  History's about to repeat itself...

And no, All-Stars isn't on VC.  You'd have to get the NES/FC originals, which would be 2000 points (or 2000 yen) total versus 2500 yen for the Collection Special Pack.  Not really a bad deal all things considered.

Ahh so it could be for a limited amount of time rather than limited amout of Super mario colelction pack, they could ship 10,000,000 but no matter how many is sold, the ones will reamining by 2011 will be removed.
