Anyhoo, even if we live in their magical world where Nintendo doesn't exist, this list is way off. Waaaaay too much credit to Mass Effect, God of War, and BioShock. It's more like their sales list pretty much mirrored their hype list.

so you expect this to be the best selling FF ever? (no surprise really, and I'm sure your 7m in the west proves a remake is coming ) Everything I've read from others says that JRPGs are in a decline. Of course, FF won't have the same decline, but 12 didn't even break 6, so a jump to 10 seems unreasonable to me.

I can see 7m total, 6m was more of a probable minimum, but 9-10 seems a stretch.

A surprise hit, ie. one that is not conventionally expected.
